Noted Plastic Surgeon Dr. Gregory Bays Brown has always believed that women should and can look their best when they have the glow of healthy skin to when they were younger. Despite a thriving practice, Dr. Brown grew frustrated with the limits of plastic surgery. Dr. Brown realized that he could achieve success surgically but only to a point, because even after surgery, the skin can still look lacklustre. As a Harvard and Emory trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon for 20 years, he was not willing to join the pack of plastic surgeons performing increasingly extreme facelifts, at their patients request, because he knew that was not the solution.
Dr. Brown established a research laboratory to conduct a two million dollar study on healing severe wounds of burn victims. In his research, he discovered a bioengineered molecule called EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) that when applied to burns and wounds, dramatically accelerated healing in all patients tested. The defining moment came when Dr. Brown discovered that the EGF molecule was the same molecule that regenerated aging skin. He was convinced that the only way women could get what they really wanted (the healthy skin of their youth) was at the molecular level with EGF. Dr. Brown was immediately inspired to set up a clinical laboratory within the research unit to validate his findings and to pioneer a face cream with the "youth molecule" EGF. He applied the same intensive scientific attention to skincare that he applied to his astounding research. Dr. Brown was the first doctor to apply the bioengineered version of EGF into skincare. His findings were published in the New England Journal of Medicine (in 1989) and he was granted a U.S. cosmetic patent for EGF (in 1994) to be used in skincare products. The scientist that led the discovery of EGF went on to win a Nobel Prize for it (in 1986). Through perseverance, Dr. Brown realized his dream and launched RéVive to the public (1997).
The pioneering product that started the RéVive revolution began with the most popular product, RéVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream. This powerful perfecting cream is a small miracle with EGF that gives all faces the legendary RéVive Glow quickly.
The creation of RéVive is referred today as the gold standard of haute couture skincare and rigorous science for its ability to recapture the glow of youthful skin. Since the original face cream was launched, Dr. Brown has continued to pioneer the use of bioengineered growth factors in skincare. Today, the RéVive family of products utilize the latest technologies and continue to set new standards for products that produce small miracles.
RéVive skincare is surprisingly simple. The entire skincare line is based on one irrefutable fact: in your 20’s skin regenerates every two to three weeks (i.e. skin cells turn over regularly to expose fresh new skin underneath the dead top layer of skin cells). As we age skin regeneration slows to eight or nine weeks. Dead cells gather on the surface, look worn out, and contribute to dull dry looking skin. Alternatively, new cells with quick life cycles produce fresh and radiant skin and improve skin quality and tone. So the dilemma was always: what will enable skin to continually look young and fresh as we age? How do you speed up skin cells to reverse and slow down aging?
RéVive works because it speeds up skin cells on a molecular level. RéVive, with Nobel Prize winning EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), is responsible for creating dynamic and fast moving cell activity so that after only a few weeks, your skin looks youthful and dewy. Not only that but RéVive works faster on damaged and aged skin. It is the ultimate organic product because it replaces what naturally happens in the body but slows down with age. EGF is a protein molecule made of amino acids (for example, soy protein is also composed of amino acids). The end product is an absolutely pure protein molecule of EGF.
The Centre piece of the Revive line is bioengineered growth factors (replicate what naturally happens in the body) which are at the heart of all Revive products and their dramatic results.
The four special molecules:
Nobel Prize winning EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) = Glow (Cell Renewal)
At the heart of RéVive Sensitif Cellular Repair and Moisturizing Renewal Creams is the highly active EGF molecule (Epidermal Growth Factor). It is released in the body when there is an injury and when applied to aging skin can restore luminosity. Made of 53 amino acids, Dr. Brown combined it into creams that produce small miracles. Only RéVive has this technology and it works to bring the ‘RéVive glow’ to the face within days.
IGF (Insulin-like Growth Factor)
IGF firms and strengthens the underlying collagen to thicken the dermis. IGF prevents sagging and plumps fine lines and is called the youth molecule because it actually boosts collagen production and re-juices the skin.
KGF (Keratinocyte Growth Factor)
KGF is the newest most potent molecule yet. KGF works specifically to increase facial volume – a subtle loss over decades that dramatically ages the face. KGF can potentially fill the creases, lift the sag, and tighten the droop. “This is the first product to address volume,” says Dr. Brown.
KGF achieves results never before possible in skincare because it doesn't just speed up skin cell turnover (8 times faster!) but halts DNA fragmentation to prevent cells from spinning out of control. KGF has a quick response and enhances skins fluidity in days.
MPI (Metalloproteinase Inhibitor)
MPI slows signs of aging by inhibiting the loss of skin’s natural elasticity and collagen levels. MPI rebuilds broken capillaries and significantly diminishes fine lines, sun damage, and Rosacea.
